These were offered at a discount with my purchase of the Affresh for washing machines, so I figured I’d try them. Initially, I was a bit disappointed the first time I tried them- It just seemed like a bunch of suds appeared, and, as quickly as the suds came, they were gone. Meh... However, the next time I used these I decided I would barely utilize the water flow- WOW! What a difference! So now, using the smallest amount of water flow (before it is just dripping a lot at once- it was even less than a flow the “width of a pencil”, as the instructions stated) the sudsy foam filled the disposal. Then the foamy action was also in the main sink of our double sink, and it was actually rising up into that! That’s A LOT of sudsy power! LOL So, at that point I decided to turn off the stream of water and the suds just whirl around in the disposal retaining their sudsy thick consistency (whipped cream-like?). I let this run until I no longer thought it looked cool watching it swirl around without actually going anywhere! (LOL, about 45s-1min). I then turned on the water flow really low again (but not as low as when it created all the suds) and the suds quickly washed down the drain! The inside of the disposal is left nicely cleaned out- there were no bits of anything stuck in any of the disposal’s ‘teeth’. The smell is orange-like and fresh, albeit not very long (but that makes sense since I had just cleaned and rinsed it out!). I use the tabs infrequently, primarily due to the cost per tablet, but also just based on when I think the dispodal is in need of one, or when I remember that it’s been weeks (or months) since the last time I used one!
