The perfect bulb! I tried several kinds of bulbs, and these 4000k are the way to go, for sure. I posted 3 pics, with different bulbs side by side with the standard 2700k “warm white” you can find just about everywhere and with all 4000k bulbs. In the first pic, the light is brighter, but almost felt sterile like fluorescents do. They were 5000k by a brand I found at HD. The 2nd pic shows these 4000k bulbs. Notice how much brighter and whiter the light is compared to the standard 2700k bulbs in the fixture on the right! However, compared to the 5000k bulbs, these are a touch warmer and not sterile feeling. On the far right, you can see the natural late morning daylight around the tub. Also, notice how these new bulbs make the wall paint look so much more accurate to its actual color (wall over tub) as compared to the very golden hue of the wall illuminated by 2700k bulbs. I think I’m going to change it all of the bulbs in my house to these 4000k bulbs!
