Absolutely Extraordinary!
I’ve been using this for years – ordering it through the company out of the country, so I was thrilled to find it here on Amazon, same price! I’m very, very fair, and use Blue Black. My lashes are blonde. It’s not too dark and you do not see the blue, it just makes the black darker. I don’t look ‘fake’ with the color, it looks natural and no one suspects I dye my lashes. WHAT IT WON’T DO: It won’t look like your mascara – this dyes your lashes, it does not thicken them It will not lengthen your lashes It will dye your skin if you don’t clean up a bit after it gets on you. If you already have dark lashes, I wouldn’t bother with this WHAT IT WILL DO: If you have pale lashes it will make them appear longer if your lash tips are very light It will darken your lashes to the color you choose (I’d recommend Blue Black for anyone of any skin tone as it’s the darkest) It won’t fade much, but your lashes will grow out. It’s far more permanent than any other lash tint I’ve tried. WHAT I DON’T KNOW: I’ve never used this on my brows. This stuff stains anything. I mean anything. Clothes, skin, nails, etc. I repeat, it will stain your skin, so lots of Q-tips for cleanup as you go. I always mix it on a towel or something, and wear my least favorite clothing. I mix about ¼ inch color with 5-8 drops developer (and this lasts 1 year, after that toss it, it loses its potency so write the opening date down as they recommend). I say 5-10 because the drops come out of the bottle oddly at times – just add more of the color or processer after you’ve mixed it if needed. Use the wand to mix it – at first it seems it won’t mix and will be gloppy, but it will – be patient and mix it until creamy. It should be the texture of Ponds Cold Cream or something along those lines. Too thin and it’ll drip into your eyes and burn, too thick and it won’t take. However, it’s not rocket science and does not have to be perfect. I keep a paper towel handy, a ton of Q-tips to wipe up around my eyes and lids as I apply, and large wetted cotton balls squished almost dry at the sink for removal. I also keep eye drops handy if I get any in my eyes while removing the dye to flush my eyes. I work slowly, and constantly clean up areas of skin as needed, reapply as needed. Apply to clean lashes – don’t moisturize your face just before you apply. The color won’t take if there is anything on your lashes. I just wash my face well. I don’t use anything to protect my skin. Nothing. I apply with thin artist brushes (the cheap ones made of taklon which are synthetic, you can buy them at Wal-Mart, and get a bunch – you can use various sizes to see which you prefer). The smaller ones work best for me. I start on the tops of the lashes, coat, and then I use a thin artist liner brush to go along the roots (like you’re applying eyeliner, but missed your lid and got your lashes instead). Then I wipe up with Q-tips anywhere I’ve got excess (don’t wait until you are done, it will dye your skin). Then the undersides of the lashes. Q-tip clean up again. Then the lower ones, but obviously just the tops. Again, I use a thin artist’s liner brush along the roots of the lower lashes. Yes, Q-tip clean up again, and most likely you’ll have to reapply in some areas. I set my timer, and if you wish while you're waiting, you can carefully use a clean mascara wand (new wands available at most drug stores, Walmart) to brush the color through – then reapply. And clean around your eyes and lids with q-tips. If I have an ever-so-slight line of dye on the upper lids, I don’t worry much about getting it off completely, it’s not terribly noticeable, and goes away after a day or two. Again, I said an ‘ever-so-slight’ line, not a thick line! Be careful as you apply with the brushes and if you comb through with a clean mascara wand, don’t poke your eye, and don’t get this in your eyes. It burns. I use the almost dry cotton balls to carefully remove this stuff, and eye drops if I get any in my eyes while removing. The results are very rewarding!
