I love these watercolor pencils! The color is creamy, saturated, and very blendable. It just melts with water and doesn't leave a lot of the original pencil line; really nice for a wash. I actually did a comparison of similar colors, using Crayola watercolor pencils, these Prismacolors, and Derwent watercolor pencils. Prismacolor was the best, with the most intense color and smooth blendability. Crayola was surprisingly a close second, and Derwent (the most expensive of the three) was a great disappointment. I have not tested the Derwent inktense pencils, just the regular watercolor ones - and I say, save your money and go with Prismacolor!
