Think long and hard
Who burned books? Who forced people to conform? Who smashed shops and evicted their owners? Who beat dissenters nearly to death in the streets?
Now those claiming to be against Nazis are acting JUST LIKE Nazis - by banning Dr. Seuss. This book is absolutely fine. It was written in 1950 and reflects that time, not our hyper-PC dystopia. This book is a lovely story that set a whole career into motion, which lead to countless cherished stories.
But cherished stories can no longer be enjoyed if they don’t embrace far-left ideology. Editing this book would not have been enough - it had to be banned to virtue-signal total allegiance to the communist cause.
Banning books is a mistake - for any reason. Taking this book out of print and it’s subsequent banning on a certain auction site shows how far the “anti” Nazis have come. If you are lucky enough to have a copy, use it to teach more than one lesson to your children.
