Life changing
I started taking these after struggling with long Covid for months. I’d been dealing with additional anxiety, fatigue, restless sleep, brain fog, the whole nine yards. At the recommendation of a friend who seemed to be doing better than I in his long Covid journey, I bought these “weird mushrooms from Amazon.” I didn’t notice any difference for over a week, but I figured I already paid for them so what the hell, might as well keep taking them. About ten days in, something VERY strange happened. I like to do chess puzzles on chess.com when I have a couple minutes of downtime during the day. They give you a rating based on how good you are at solving their puzzles. I’d roughly reached my ceiling at chess puzzles, I could get to my high score, but I never seemed able to pass it. After about ten days of taking these “weird mushrooms” something very interesting happened with the chess puzzles. They suddenly seemed easier to think through and the solutions became more obvious right off the bat. My rating went up by around 200 points in one evening after work. I’d never had such a ratings rise before. Interesting. Maybe I’d keep taking them and see if that continued. I’ve been taking them for almost two months now and the difference they make is not immediately obvious to me consciously. Its more of a subconscious thing. Somehow harder chess puzzles are just easier, or sometimes I’m able to stay up past 10:00pm without being unbelievably drained the way I used to be. Sometimes I can finish five or six different chores in a day, when three months ago I’d be proud of myself for managing to do a single chore. Things around the house are starting to get fixed that have been neglected since I first got Covid. Not every day is as good as pre-Covid, but having ~3 days a week that are as good as pre-Covid is a BIG DEAL and gives me lots of hope for the future.
