Barista Review
I'm a professional barista and have been looking for a home machine to get me through the day for awhile now. After looking through a lot of different models and reading a bunch of product reviews, I finally settled on this DeLonghi model. Unboxing and set up is super easy. Its basically just a plug in, prime up and pull your shots deal. I feel like if you don't have any experience with pulling shots then this learning curve may be a little daunting because this little machine does exactly what the larger machines I've worked with do: pull manual manual shots expertly. The heart, body and crema are easily identifiable in each shot and the taste is absolutely perfect. You will have to learn how to time your shots as it does not shut off automatically and in the video, you can see that I pulled long but the shot still tasted perfect from that pull. Quite impressive. The only accessories this machine comes with is the scoop/tamper in 1 tool so you will have to find your own demitasse and steaming pitcher. Clean up is a snap. You can knock the puck right into the garbage or knock box without having to dig the grounds out of the portafilter. The steaming want disassembly is easy, too: just slip off the cover and wipe with a wet paper towel. 100% would recommend to anyone and everyone. I feel as though most negative reviews of this machine are caused by user error so if you're new to espresso machines, be diligent and do your homework first because this might not be as easy as you might expect without practice.
