Best bang for the buck!
Having worked for over 20 years in home medical equipment I can tell you this is a very well built frame! While I cannot speak to their longevity yet, the motors are extremely quiet. The unit comes mostly assembled but the motors need to be attached as well as the mattress guard at the foot end. This is very easy with just a few tools, an adjustable wrench (like a Crescent) and a #5 Metric Allen wrench and a short Phillips screwdriver is all you need. It is also quite simple to zip tie up the wires so there is still the ability to use the under bed area for storage as long as you make sure the motors have room to move. Be sure to raise the foot and head a bit so you can make sure to attach the wires to the frame that does NOT move. The unit is fairly heavy but the middle legs make it very stable and well supported. The foot platform does not raise as much as a standard hospital type bed or most other adjustable beds but if you just need to elevate the lower legs above heart level, it will work very well. I also like the angle and thigh support while elevated. If the motors last, this is an excellent choice for anyone needing, or just wanting, an adjustable foot and head angle. All in all, this is the best for the money I have seen!!
