When I was a kid, I had a feather pillow. Later, I also had a non-feather pillow. It was lighter and fluffier and far less satisfying to sleep on. I always favored the weight and adjust-ability of the feather pillow. That's what this reminds me of. I don't know how little pieces of foam can weigh so much, but this pillow is solid. When I lay on it and put it how I want it, my head sinks into it a little, and it just stays that way. It actually does make it easy to fall asleep. At least for me. This pillow is also a great deal since you get two pillows for the price of what others are selling one pillow for - including someone calling theirs the Original Miracle Bamboo Pillow, which is not what it's trying to appear to be. I bought one of those, and a pair of these. Since the "miracle pillow" came with something really hard inside it, like a 5 inch long stick or solid piece of thin plastic, this one is definitely the better in terms of quality. And of course, the price makes it a no-brainer. There's also customer service behind this one with the seller contacting me to make sure I was satisfied. Not so with the fake miracle bamboo pillow. If you're trying to decide between multiple sellers, I found this one to be an excellent bargain, good quality, and good customer service. I did experience the odor of the new foam and had to wait a few days to use it. I did not put it outside to breathe because of the weather at the time. I tried sleeping on it the same night it arrived, and although my son was able to sleep on his back without smelling it, I sleep with my face right on the pillow, and although any smell will become unnoticeable after a while, I'm certain the fumes coming off this made my mouth dry. That made me wonder just what chemicals I was inhaling, so I went back to my old pillow for a few days until the smell was done evaporating off the new foam pieces. Now it's great, and I'm glad I bought it. Note for people who get confused: the inner pillow material is not bamboo. The outer material of the pillow is made from bamboo fibers that are said to be hypo-allergenic, etc. The outer cover is removable and washable, but you can also put a pillow case over it as I have.
