I purchased these scalp brushes because I have very thick hair and even with a lot of scrubbing with my hands, my hair still didn't seem like it was staying clean very long. I knew I had to find something to help scrub my scalp to help extend the life of my hair between washes. I'll use dry shampoo, but would prefer to have a cleaner scalp to begin with by using these scalp brushes. The brush itself it a good size and my hand fits nicely into the grooves on the brush. I have a shower caddy that I hang the brush on in the shower and my kids have confiscated the other brush for use in their bathroom. The brush provides a nice massage and makes it easier to wash my thick hair. I put shampoo on with my hands and scrub and then use the scalp brush.
