Lots of perks
I've used this for 2 months now. I read all the negative reviews before buying, and purchased anyway, because it was the only affordable model with all the options I wanted. It has plastic clips instead of cheap metal pins (and they stay in my hair just fine). Perk: all clips fit all rollers, so there's no searching for the right match. It has built-in storage for the clips, so they don't fall out or take up extra space in the drawer (note: you can fit all but 3 clips to store, if you place a couple more on the roller bar and two within the top lid). It has LOTS of curlers so I can do all of my hair in one go, without waiting for curlers to reheat (I use all but 3 on my average thickness, medium length hair). It heats up quickly (I've had no issues with anything melting, although the center rollers do get quite hot to the touch if you leave them on for more than 10 minutes). It's easy to put these rollers away, large go in center, small along the edges, medium in between. There aren't designated slots, but they fit well with a little wiggle room to spare. The only thing I don't like, is the split design of the rollers (so they can slide onto the metal plate that heats them). Occasionally I will get a hair that snags the wrong way in this slit, and it's annoying to have to untangle it. I've owned 3 other hot roller sets, and this one comes closest to meeting my needs. Added some pics so you can see the type of curl... I use all 3 sizes at once. Hope this helps in your quest for perfect curls!
