I was hesitant to buy these because of the reviews that said they didn't work. However, after purchasing these I love them. Adjust your expectations though--these are not shape wear or panties that will hold in every bulge. They are not built that way. What they do do well is smooth lines. If you have a little bit of bulge over the pelvic area, these will slim the line and make it more flattering. If you go into this purchase expecting smoothing/slimming lines and NOT to expect a tummy tuck type of situation, then you will be satisfied. I do have to say that these are the most comfortable briefs I've encountered. I'm not usually into briefs because of how high they usually go, but these are cut in a way that are comfortable without too much material. They stay put and you literally forget you have them on throughout the day. I would definitely purchase them again.
