I am so surprised at all the negative reviews on this product! We have been using ours now for 2 years and love it. We live in Alaska and many friends have bought the same unit so we can bring our dogs to each other's houses without the problem of all the dogs running off in woods or down the roads. Sometimes we would have as many as 8 dogs all using the unit at once. Our dog is a runner, but not anymore now that we have this unit. When we first got it we walked him around the flagged property to show him where he can go. Of course when we first let him go he BOLTED but beep beep beep SHOCK he never bolted again. We moved From one part of Alaska to another and have plugged this unit into our truck (with normal plug inverter for truck) and changed to 100ft, and let him out in a parking lot. When he hears the beep he knows hes getting too far. The unit is a perfect size. We bring it to friends houses, plug in and let him run free, we have brought this to a bar plugged it in and let him run free. Now we are in our new home and after so many months of using it he knows his boundaries and at times he goes out without his collar. About after a year, our first unit stopped working. We called customer service and a 2nd one was sent. It was hard to get free 2 day shipping, but living in an area where the dog could get caught in traps (he's already lost a paw because of this) I was able to talk them into it. All and all I highly recommend This unit. It has changed our dogs life!!! He is such a happy dog, no leash. FREE! When I am walking him out of his area I say "Stay close" and he won't walk out of his boundaries without me. The only Negative is you have to remember to turn it off when you go for car rides!
