i received my Vegetable Slicer By Spiralizer just over a week ago and I'm already in love with it! I have used cucumbers, radishes, zucchini, red cabbage and Napa cabbage so far. the cabbages were a little messy but the slices were very pretty for my Thai salad. the zucchini noodles were so easy! the ribbon slices were also attractive with my radishes and cucumbers. During this last week, I have almost forced my family to become vegetarian! (so many vegetables..so little time!) I am not a vegetarian, but vegetables are my favorite food. Now I have a new way to present them! The slicer is sturdier than the one my daughter has, and also has more detailed instructions for use, both on the box and the printed instructions inside the box. I have three more daughters and a son that love cooking. i think I know what they are getting for Christmas or birthdays this year. the blades are neatly stored right with the slicer which takes away the chore of wondering where to put them. the fact that it"s not a plug-in appliance is my dream come true, but I did wonder if it would work as advertised. It took a few tries, but I eventually got it right. The harder the vegetable, the more difficult it was for a first-timer, but I think it will become easier with practice. The suction cups grip very well, and i was pleased to see extras in the box. I have a Cuisinart, and wondered if this tool would be unnecessary, but it does the ribbon and long cuts that I normally have to do by hand. I'm very happy with my purchase.
