Awesome product! The stand can be put in different positions or heights. Need it to hang further out? No problem! Just unscrew, move, and tighten! This is my first time buying a stand. I kept getting hand cramps from the rings or there were times i needed to use both hands, but had to place my work down to do it. Of course, thats me whining and not a big deal to most im sure, but when i do my counted cross stitch projects......😩 id always lose my spot!! I also got a stamped cross stitch kit and the pictures going to be a 19x36 image! So i needed a stand cause theres a TON kf fabric to handle (thank you scrolls!) While searching.. I found this one. I wasnt sure because of the price. I didnt want to buy a cheap product when everything else was like 60-90 bucks! I went ahead with the purchase based off of what other folks said and im glad i did. The box came well packaged, all the pieces present, and picture/walkthrough directions to put it together. Now.. main reason i didnt give 5 stars in the "Easy to Use" section, was the building demand. Theres a lot of pieces! On the instructions, there is a printed ruler to measure the bolts. Use it! Make sure youre using the right bolt for the right hole, the right knob, the right piece of wood, etc. I say this only because i messed up building it, haha! The hardest part i think was putting in the 2 screws at the bottom of the stand. This is the only part where a phillips screwdriver is needed. Everything else is bolt/washer combo which is done by hand. Anyway, concerning the screws... Be gentle (just a firm push) and be patient. If you try to rush, youll end up stripping the screw. Make sure you have a large enough screwdriver and it shouldnt slip. So.. hooray! I finished building it! I super tightened everything and it doesnt wobble. Its real wood which i like and not particle or anything. I think its sturdy for the purpose i need it. Some past reviews said it was crooked or wobbly or cheap... i just dont think they put it together right and need to try again before slamming it. Now am i going to lay on it? No.. itll break cause it's not meant to hold my weight 🙄 Anyways.. i attached a picture of me sitting on the couch with the stand at about breast level. The great thing about this stand is its flexibility! Thats a low couch im sitting on, if i go to a recliner, a kitchen chair, (or maybe stand? 🤔 whatever floats your boat I reckon), regardless of where you sit, all you have to do is loosen the knobs, move each section to where its most comfortable to you, and tighten it back. Easy as that! I attached both my embroidery work (my first time, wish me luck!) as well as my scroll. Honestly i dont even know if i did the scroll right, but either way it fits in the clamp. The instructions say to wrap a rubber band around the clamp, this keeps the scroll from slipping apparently but i havent tried it. Also.. from the picture, you can see the clamp grips the fabric. If you dont want this.. just use batting or fabric to protect it. Whatever makes you happy! My last picture is how small it gets! 😁👍 to match my low couch, i needed low end tables. So these are NOT normal or typical end tables and the stand STILL fits under the table! If you dont need the stand, it can easily be tucked away! Besides the pieces and having to use muscle to get the 2 screws put in correctly, this has become an exceptional (and essential) addition to my needlework pasttime! The price is perfect, the stand is convenient snd flexible to suit your needs!
