I came to the party late, very late. Was looking for a Football game with NFL players for the PC and found that Madden 08' was the last one produced on the PC. Well, ordered it, DL'ed, and was playing with the 08' roster. Not exactly a lot of fun. After that, found the Football Freaks roster over at Football Idiot forums, and found a wealth of rosters and mods for this software. Grabbed the latest FF roster for 12' players and I was back in business. This was a very fun game, sad to see that the diehards have to resort to bandaging an 08' produced program to enjoy football on a PC. If you are looking for NFL football game on the PC, you have very limited choices. Get this until someone brings back a football game to the PC. UPDATE: 08/15/13 The game is still going strong for us. A shout out to Football Idiot dot com, which has forums whose members are still helping us in the PC platform enjoy football. A big thanks to every member for keeping this game as current as can be. I greatly appreciate what they are doing, despite not being paid to provide the updates and mods and also facing the few ungrateful postings that nitpick on some of their updates from time to time. There are still mods being added to the game and most importantly, there are roster updates. The rosters are up to date even with this preseason for the 2013/2014 season. Who would have thought, a game from 2008 contains up to date rosters, player profiles, coach profiles, uniform changes to 2013/2014. And....all because of fans of the game and the sport. Nothing from EA Sports, they left the PC users a long time already. Remember, this game can be played with an Xbox Controller for PC. It can also be played with keyboard or keyboard + mouse. UPDATE 9/3/13: The game is installed on two systems, both running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, one a Sandy Bridge processor with an Radeon card and the other a Bloomfield processor with an Nvidia card. No problems installing or playing on either systems.
