I purchased this product from my dentist, not through Amazon, but I felt the need to leave a review because I am in love with it! For all those that are confused with the differences between this model and the genius pro 8000 like I was, here's why there is a price difference. This is the dentist version of the genius pro 8000. It is essentially the exact same toothbrush as the Oral-B Genius Pro 8000 except it does not have tongue cleaning mode, only comes with two brush heads to start, comes with a basic travel case (not a charging one) that holds the toothbrush and two heads, and a simple charger (without the stand that has a brush head holder that the 8000 comes with). If all of those extra things are important to you, spend the extra money and get the regular genius pro 8000. I personally decided to overlook that because this version gives me all of the important things that I wanted, still has the bluetooth connection for the phone app, and my dentist sold it to me for $99. So It was worth it to save money and still get almost everything. In terms of the toothbrush itself, my teeth have never felt cleaner! I used a Sonicare several years ago and hated the way it felt. The vibrations were uncomfortable and so I eventually gave it away and went back to manual. Lately, I have realized that my oral care routine has needed drastic improvements and so along with changing some of my habits, I decided it was time to go back to electric and invest in a good model. I debated between this and the Sonicare Diamond Clean toothbrush for a while, but after reading several reviews, talking to my dentist, and talking to others who have used both, this seemed like the better choice, and a cheaper one too. The app works great with the toothbrush, it is really easy to learn how to use all of the features and to maneuver between different settings, and I love that brushing time, brushing goals, etc. are customizable to your personal goals, and that your dentist can even connect with you on the app and give you specific recommendations and goals that can be customized on the app. All in all, if oral care and hygiene is important to you (which is should be) this is a great investment. It is a good product that will last you a long time, there is a 2 year warranty for any malfunctions, 30-day money back guarantee, and several different types of brush heads along with the different modes allow you to customize it for your needs or goals. It's worth it!
