I was all but ready to give up on menstrual cups after trying multiple cups over the course of 2+ years. Problem was, I have a "dangly cervix" (my cervix sits inside the cup and takes up room, lowering the capacity significantly) and am very sensitive to stiff cups due to endometriosis. I would start leaking after 1-2 hours on heavy days, and releasing the suction was a b**** (so much so that I even dislodged my IUD once). Then the Ziggy Cup changed my life. Pros: Dangly cervix? No problem. Sensitive urethra, pelvic floor muscles, etc...? All good. :) (I actually forgot I was on my period with this cup). Heavy, gushy, clotty flow? No worries, this thing has a 76ml capacity! I was able to be out in public, away from a bathroom for longer than an hour on my heavy day! w00t! Speaking of heavy flow, I no longer had to wear a liner to capture the blood that got on my vaginal walls (and was thus not contained in the cup) between dumping and replacing it which was AMAZING. My fingers also stayed cleaner during reinsertion which was nice for use in public bathrooms. Period sex! The case seems more compact and discreet than for other cups I've had (even though it's bright pink). A couple of notes: I'd used SoftCups in the past and liked them, but not as much as I love this cup. There was a bit of a learning curve for insertion and sealing it, but I learned that using lube and making a scooping motion (like dipping a chip into my vagina...) during insertion would get my cervix inside the cup every time, and it was super easy to tuck it behind the pubic bone. Bearing down for a bowel movement can affect the seal, so make sure to check it/retuck it after a BM if necessary. Cons: It's harder to measure your flow as opposed to with other menstrual cups since some of the blood comes out during removal. The higher capacity also means the toilet might look like even more of a murder scene than usual (which is hardly a con...) All in all, this was a total game changer for me, and I'm absolutely in love with this cup!
