Worth the purchase!
Fabulous! I have a 53# mixed bull dog that I have tried every conceivable product on. He had an accident that affected his behavior, and I'm not finished trying every intervention to get my George back to normal. He's a puller and thinks he should lead the walker or group of walkers. He becomes VERY FOCUSED on neighborhood dogs, birds, squirrels or anything moving. Working with my veterinarian, he suggested the no pull harness with the FRONT CLIP! Not the back clip because that was another trial and failed miserably. I've returned $30 harness and a backpack that I purchased to add the extra weight to slow him down. He TORE the backpack to smithereens on the first trial because the weight didn't stop him and he tore away from me, injuring my finger and breaking my foot. I can no longer walk him until he's back under control. My husband has now walked him about 4 times, about a half mile each time. The front clasp makes him turn back instead of continuing forward and pulling you along. Sometime that harness is completely twisted around because he wants to chase, but he hasn't broken free yet. My husband holds the leash close to the dog, then smacks his butt lightly with the leftover leash to get his focus back to him. It works. I'm still not able to walk him since my foot is still healing from a second time knocking me over. He's had obedience training too. So with all that in mind, this harness is the best investment since the Gentle Leader, which worked well until his accident and still can be used in certain circumstances. This harness offers more control. It is durable too.
