Much warmer than I expected. Though not as hot a red bulb or ceramic bulb it's safer. They are not meant to heat the whole coop , just provide a warm spot near it. Good value. Good size ..I'd say 4 full size chickens could nestle up in the radius of the heat. Sturdy and quality made, Didn't feel cheaply made.
