One of THE Best You Can Buy
I own and use tripods that cost 3-5x what this tripod costs, yet when I'm going out the door I grab this one first. Let me expound a little bit. This is one of the best built tripods that I have ever seen, ESPECIALLY at this price point. I'm floored that a tripod of this quality is under $150. The carbon fiber seems to be extremely well built- there are no rough spots, the pattern is uniform, and there are absolutely no creaks under pressure. The extension twists work perfectly and have a VERY strong hold- using a 600mm lens on this tripod is no problem at all. The fold-down size is incredible, and at just over 5lbs for the whole thing, it's crazy portable. All of the ballhead is metal- from the ball joint itself to all of the surrounding knobs and plates: ALL METAL. I expect this tripod to hold up wonderfully for life. The leg that screws off to make a monopod/walking stick is absolutely brilliant. It is very very rigid and with the wonderful extension twists, offers no give when under heavy weight. It comes with a compass and a camera mount for the top of the single leg, for walking stick or monopod use. I attached my 600mm lens with a lens adapter and a Sony A7R2 to the monopod and it supported the weight perfectly fine. The monopod stick is on part with Manfrotto monopods, costing 2-3x as much, but this is a tripod AND monopod for under $150. You can't beat it. I used to be a massive Manfrotto and SLIK fan when it came to tripods- that's all I'd buy. These range from $200 to about $800 depending on material, etc. At the suggestion of a friend, I tried this Neewer tripod and I'm in love. The Carbon Fiber quality of this Neewer is easily on par with Manfrotto tripods costing several times more and the connection joints are far superior to the SLIK. SLIK often uses cork and tension disks (where the camera mount is) that wear and get loose over time- the Newer does not. I've absolutely worked my first Neewer Carbon Fiber tripod to death and it's holding up as well as the day I took it out of the box. Since then I've bought 3 more (I use many cameras in weddings and pageant filming) and they're all performing wonderfully. TLDR: Buy this tripod. It's one of the best on the market, especially at this price point. Highly Recommended
