The first thing I did upon opening the package was put a mitten in my own mouth to see if they tasted like chemicals. Nope! No chemical odor or taste. The plastic fingers are rubbery but not malleable, like a teething ring. My baby was fussy at the time of recording the video, but the crinkling of the mittens acted like a rattle to distract her.
