My desk is currently on the kitchen counter. I am shorter (5'2") and sitting at a barstool and resting my feet on the rungs of the stool was giving me massive foot pain. My plantar fasciitis had started screaming at me again. I decided to buy this, put it on a small stool under the counter, and now I can sit at my bar stool with proper alignment! My feet love it! It does compress quite a bit if you put all your leg weight on one leg with your legs crossed, but it bounces back (so far). Time will tell how it holds up. But for now, I am happy. June 2022: Still holding its shape and bouncing back after hours of daily use.
