Nice style but too little arch support
I am a fan of New Balance having purchased many of their athletic shoes through the years. These shoes differ from what I usually purchase in that they are cut lower, are not as bulky looking, and are very flexible and lightweight. The shoe is definitely comfortable from the perspective that the it is made from a mesh fabric and inside there is a terrific heel cushion which makes the shoe feel good. BUT the shoe lacks arch support and I would not feel comfortable wearing these shoes for any lengthy walking and definitely not for any kind of exercising that caused pounding on the foot or a lot of side to side motion. At this point, I wear them for lightweight walking -- to the store or if I'm going to an event where I won't be on my feet for a long period of time. If you have flat feet or have foot issues such as plantar fasciitis and have been wearing athletic shoes made by New Balance or Asics or Brooks which have a lot of support in them, you will notice the difference immediately when you put on these shoes -- you'll feel that your foot doesn't have a lot of support in the arch area.
