Works great! Here are the numbers
This product works well. I have been using it since 7/10/09. After a visit to my doctor, I started monitoring my BP at home. From 7/1/09 -7/9/09, my BP averaged 137.5/90.6 with an average heart rate of 58.4. These are the averages of 32 measurements taken over 8 days.
I decided to try Carditone to avoid taking prescription medication. I started taking 2 Carditone tablets daily on 7/10/09. This is the recommended dose. By the way, I am about 6'1" tall and weigh about 200 lbs. Over the time period of 7/10 - 7/20/09, my average BP fell to 124.3/76.1, and my average heart rate fell to 50.9 beats per minute. These averages were derived from 69 measurements taken over 10 days So two tablets daily of Carditone reduced my average systolic pressure 13.2 mm Hg, and it reduced my average diastolic blood pressure 14.5 mm Hg. It also reduced my resting heart rate by 7.5 beats per minute. Quite effective. At this dose, I felt that my exercise tolerance was mildly reduced, and I noticed some blunting of heart rate elevation during exercise. Also, I noticed that I would get orthostatic symptoms sometimes if I stood up too quickly (standing up quickly made me dizzy sometimes).
On 7/21/09, I started taking 1 Carditone tablet daily. This is 1/2 the recommended dose. On this dose, my BP has averaged 125.0/75.9, and my heart rate has averaged 49.6. These averages are made up from 105 separate measurements. So Carditone 1 tablet daily brought my BP down from the starting series an average of 12.5 mm Hg systolic and an average of 14.7 mm Hg diastolic, and it reduced my average heart rate by 8.8 beats per minute. Given the variability seen over the averages, these numbers appear to be the same as when I was taking 2 tablets daily. My exercise tolerance went back to normal, but my peak heart rate still appears blunted. I feel good.
I tried 1/2 tablet daily for about 10 days, but I noticed a mild uptrend in my numbers and returned to 1 tablet daily. Before taking this supplement, you may want to see your doctor. This is not a simple supplement like a multivitamin. Carditone contains rauwolfia serpentina or snakeroot extract. The pharmaceutical blood pressure medicine reserpine was derived from this plant, so it has potent effect.
