It is a solidly constructed device, with the motor in a separate, magnetically coupled base. The whole thing seems solid and well engineered. I took off a star because it is USB powered but has no plug-to-usb power transformer included. These are very common -- I happened to have a spare so it is no big deal to me. But I feel that at this price point you should not have to buy an additional adapter to be able to plug it in.
