A bit draconian, especially with randsomeware protection enabled
Seems like a solid product, this is year two after switching from another brand. I feel reasonably protected and only minorly annoyed with the ransomware protection enabled. It is a bit draconian. It blocks my games from writing their save files to the user folder like they are supposed to. Some games just crash when this happens. You have to then add an exception for the program and try again. This feature is OFF by default, but I'd still rather add exceptions then get taken for a randomware ride. I had to turn autopilot off so that I could make key decisions but I have not found that to be a problem. The software does require frequent reboots, which boggles my mind, but so did the last one I used. I guess they are trying to be ultra safe. Other than saving of game files I have not had any problems with false positives and it has played nicely with my old windows 8.1 box and my new windows 10. I do recommend buying here on amazon versus renewing through them. It is much cheaper here and painless to add the new key to their web management tool. That is worth mentioning too, I suppose. You are required to have a login to their website to manage your computers/license #. The previous brand I used also did this so it may be a standard thing now. It is both helpful and annoying.
