FYI for anyone that wants to hang this on a flat wall surface, the package does not provide instructions on this. Simply, un hook the top pieces of the devices, the 2 small bolts and the 1 long bolt. Then connect the 45 degree swing arm to the bracket by way of the holes at the top of the half round openings. This moves the arm up and away from the bracket so that the arm hangs down flat against the wall - be sure to put back the small bolts. Hope this helps.
