I've been using Spectro Jel (for blemish prone skin) in combination with Thayers Witchhazel Rose Petal Toner, California Baby Calendula Cream, and a daily probiotic supplement (minimum 10 strains and 25 billion CFUs) for over a year, and my PO dermatitis has not returned. I WILL NEVER STRAY FROM THIS REGIMEN because not only is my POD gone, but my skin is clearer, smoother, softer and more even than it's ever been. I've recently started using a Vitamin C serum in between the toner and calendula cream for anti-aging, and I didn't have any adverse reactions or POD flare-ups. Also, I started removing my make-up with Ponds Cold Cream and wiping with a washcloth instead of using make-up remover cloths. I remove more make-up this way, and the washcloth exfoliates (though I'm careful not to rub much where the POD flares up by my nose because exfoliating makes it worse). If you must have some make-up remover wipes on standby for those sleepy moments of weakness, I recommend using micellar water/wipes because they remove make-up well (even waterproof) without leaving much residue on your skin. I battled with perioral/nasal/occipital dermatitis for years, and everything else only made it worse (especially ANYTHING dermatologist prescribed). I tried following the Candida diet, but failed miserably because I love carbs and sweets too much, and to be frank, simply don't have the self discipline for that. I tried all kinds of masks, cleansers, and moisturizers, and nothing worked until I tried this combo. I'll get a mild flare-up here and there after a weekend of bad behavior (poor diet, drinking, and sleeping in make-up), but after a couple days of my normal routine, it disappears. I'm 27 now, and battled with POD for about 15 years. I've been so happy with my skin that my friends without POD started using this regimen, too. I highly recommend giving it a shot if you suffer from any dermatitis!! I can't emphasize enough the difference it made for me, and I hope this will help others as well. Good luck! :)
