This works beautifully for my cat who has a sore between the pad on her paw. It was recommended by her vet because it will be less irritating to her sore. Of course, it's more expensive than conventional cat litter, but it's well worth it for now. Now the smell it creates is another issue. It does not naturalize odors...at all. You'll need to try and scoop daily (which is quite hard to do), or change totally every couple of days. I just put less in her pan to extend the amount used. It absorbs pretty well and the scent (before she's used it) is faintly of newspapers.
