I used to own both gasoline and electric pressure washers and for big jobs, the gas powered monster was great. The electric was good for small patio and yard stuff like cleaning up chairs, bricks, etc. But each had their drawbacks. Gasoline is messy, flammable and requires storing an extra supply. After sitting awhile the gas can gum up so you need to use a stabilizer or the machine will be hard to start or not start at all. The electric pressure washer needs a long cord to be dragged around and requires long extension cords to be purchased for extended reach. Both electric and gas require you to drag a hose as well as use the wand, move the machine frequently and with the electric there is the third tether, the cord. Enter the WORX Hydroshot. I received mine quickly and since I already have a number of WORX 20 Volt tools with batteries charged, I was able to use it right out of the box. I also had quick connectors on my garden hose which allowed me to simply click it on to the assembled Hydroshot, insert the battery and clean away. On low power the unit easily reached most of the second story areas of the house and when I hit the high power button it reached the eaves as well. I also tried it on cleaning our patio pavers and it works well. Not as fast or as wide a swath as a gas or even a higher powered electric washer for sure, but enough for me to recommend it for small patios and driveways. Plus it will pull water from a bucket or anywhere else if you don't have access to a hose. Regular pressure washers require a pressurized hose, but this tool includes a nice 20 foot suction hose so you can virtually wash anything anywhere! The light weight, reasonable (15-20 minute) run time made this an instant favorite in my outdoor tool arsenal. I have a long history of experience with WORX outdoor tools and every one has been positive. Other than one bad switch on a blower which was quickly handled by the manufacturer, they have worked impeccably.
