About the lightfast claims and fine art use.
About the claim that they are lightfast - some of the colors without a doubt hold up wonderfully over time. I've done a full year of testing in a window and in this set of 12 colors only 3 faded badly: PINK ORANGE AND BROWN fade within 1 year of daytime sun exposure inside a northern facing window with limited UV exposure during the AM hours. This should give a good example of what could happen to artwork you hung on a wall near a window created with these markers.
There was very minor change to the yellow that got lighter. Now, no artwork should ever be stored in direct sunlight, but this is a good way to test how your art will hold up over time. I have quality paints from other manufacturers such as Montana acrylic markers that held up a bit better over time. Overall the product is quality enough that I consider it useful for artists who will sell their work, however these 3 colors you may not want to use in artwork you know will be hung on a wall in a well lit room. I post all my tests on The Enchanted Gallery's lightfast testing page, including many brands of acrylic paint, india inks, watercolors and craft supplies. Hope this helps someone :)
