Great camping grill if used properly. First, I would not cook directly on it right away. As other reviewers have mentioned it is painted black and it will peel off. I purchased two 16x9 Griddles (See below) which perfectly covered half the grill. The griddles are reversible. I was able to boil water and make coffee on one half of the grill, while at the same time cooking anything from bacon & eggs to burger & dogs on the other side. I have never had a better camping/cooking experience. (Personally don't like gas when camping, fire only...) If you are looking for a large, heavy duty grill this is it, just use it properly. I will update this post after a few more uses and see if I am comfortable cooking directly on it over time. Plus I want to upload a picture so you can all see how sweet this set up is with the griddles!! Used it again this weekend. Couldn't be happier.
