I used a solar powered fountain pump and made my own fittings to adapt to the solar mats, on an 85 degree day at High Noon with two mats the temperature coming out of the panels is about 6 degrees warmer then the water it's pumping into the panels. These solar Matt are very restrictive if used with the pumps for a filter system or a bilge pump I could imagine them Popping, as many of the bad reviews stated they did , which is why I decided to try the fountain pump out, and it worked well, and cost me nothing to run them all day, they come on when the Sun hits them and turns off when the sun sets for what I am using them for they seem to be working well
