Easier than regular chains! Practice though :-)
I've put chains on fire engines a few times, and hated it each time. They're heavy, cold, filthy, and a lot of strength required. That in mind, I really hoped these "chains" would be a better experience. They're really quite good! We watched the video and read the instructions yesterday, but I forgot about sweeping the chains around the inside of the tires. So don't forget that part. Here is some other advice which, especially if you're not a chain expert, will be almost sure to pay big dividends:
1) If you practiced putting them on once, DO IT AGAIN! I promise you'll learn a couple of tricks. We practiced putting them on, driving around a bit, taking them off, putting them on again, driving around, and taking them off. Each time we got better. 2) Taking them off without getting them hooked on the suspension takes a bit of practice, and following idea#1 will help A LOT! 3) put a pair of gloves in with the chains, 4) put a pair of knee pads with the chains and 5) put one chain in a bag or something. Untangling these took several minutes which, in wet or miserable snow conditions, would have seemed much, much longer.
