No programming works on the tv right away. Delicious flavor for dogs I guess. :/
These remotes are awesome. No programming needed... they work straight away. My dog has chewed up the first 3 we had... at first we thought we had a short in the tv because the channel was changing and getting louder and then we saw the dog in the backyard chewing on the remote. I guess they taste delicious.
So we now have #4 and #5 (decided to keep a backup).
