The amount of force needed to press it was just a little bit more then I was expecting. My pitbull puppy was having a hard time pressing it with enough force on her own to make it ring. A few weeks later though she realized she had to use more force, and she is able to do it fine now. The only thing I wish, was that it would've had 2 of the plug in noise remotes. We have a 2 story house and the potty area is downstairs. Since we want her to hear it when she presses it, we have it plugged in downstairs, but it's really hard to hear from upstairs! If there were 2 remotes we could have them plugged in at 2 different points in the house. Other then that one complaint, I would say this product is awesome. Our puppy caught on after about a month and now she hits it everytime, on her own! It's way cooler than the typical bells hanging from a door nob too! Everyone that comes over thinks it's awesome. ******UPDATE!!!!***** You can buy an extra remote or transmitter, so that when the button is pressed you can hear it in more then one place in the house! Problem solved!!
