Great Product - Poor Instructions - Read this for install tips
I read the negative reviews here about the difficulty installing and will share with you here some tips that the instructions failed to mention. Actually, reading the negative reviews helped me develop a plan that made the install quite simple:
1. Do not cut the seal to length ahead of time. After pulling the seal through the bottom rail, it won't be the exact same size as when you started. Cut after the install.
2. Measure your T-Channels carefully before you order. If you order the wrong size you will be very disappointed.
3. Put a couple of tie wraps on the seal: One about 6 inches from the end of the rail and the other about 12 inches from the rail. SEE attached photo (photo only show one tie wrap as other one was behind the door railing).
4. Pull/push about 5 inches through the channel and then move the tie wraps back about 5 inches and pull that much through again. It helps if you push the seal slightly from the end of the rail before pulling the next 5 inches through. Keep doing this until it's all the way through.
5. Use a board (or some other object) to prop up the seal about a foot from the second tie wrap.
6. Total process took about 15 minutes.
Hope this helps!
