Reduced Hayfever
I think this miraculously reduced my allergies by 90%. This is the first time I've tried using probiotics therapeutically. I'm also taking wobenzyme and a mushroom complex in an effort to improve my immune system. I take 3 a day and the nighttime stuffy nose is gone. I tried changing brands for a time and the effect was not as pronounced so I'll be sticking with this brand.
**Update April 2013**
I recently found out that I have a genetic defect in my Methylation cycle, i.e., I can not convert Folic Acid to Folate. The affected genes for me specifically are MTHFR (homozygous on C677), CBS, COMT, MAOA. The reason I'm posting this info is that I hope this helps someone else out there with allergies. This defect occurs widely in the general population. I found it when I did a genetic test with a company called 23andme. The defect can cause very high homocysteine. I am now on a protocol very specific to this disorder. The probiotics are part of the protocol. Improving gut health is important for the other supplements to work. I now basically replace with the mythlated version Folic Acid called Methylfolate and the methylated version of B12. Additionally I take these probiotics along with TMG for support. Again hope this helps someone else out there. Your chronic allergies may be pointing to high homocysteine which in turn may point to MTHFR issues.
