I'm not a prodigious writer of reviews, but wanted to leave a comment in the hopes that others do not make the same mistake I did. First off, the product is amazing simple to assemble and looks to be well constructed. That said, the instructions fail to provide guidance on which holes to screw the hooks into on the lateral bar. This was my downfall. I install the hooks in the uppermost holes which provides the least amount of tension for the hammock. My newly assembled hammock took me less then 10 minutes to assemble and floated lazily in the air between the lateral bars, easily three feet above the ground. Then I sat it and landed hard on my tailbone against the crossbar as the hammock sagged all the way to the ground under my weight. It's been a while since I've seen stars. I slowly crawled into a fetal position and waited for the worst of the pain to pass before ashamedly standing up and moving the hooks down several holes on each lateral bar to provide enough tension to keep my butt off the ground. Please make sure to assemble with enough tension to keep you safely floating in the air.
