When I got this sticky roller set, I was excited to use it, having spent a lot of money on the disposable kind of lint rollers trying to keep up with my two cats. At first, the reusable rollers were amazing! They picked up the car hair seemingly better than the disposable lint rollers! I used the sticky roller several times a day, and then after about 2 weeks of use, I noticed they were not very sticky any more! So disappointed! I wondered if the water I was using to rinse the roller was too warm? Maybe I should use cold water? I tried varying the temperature, but to no avail! I was about to write a negative review here, but I decided to try one more thing I did not do all the time I used the sticky roller. I WAS just holding the roller under the water to rinse off the debris, but this last ditch time, I decided to rub the roller gently with my fingers under the running water while the cat hair rinsed off. I let the roller dry and to my great surprise, the sticky roller was just as marvelously sticky as when it came out of the box! I also noticed the sticky roller surface was very shiny again. So if you notice the blue surface is dull, it is probably clogged with micro fine particles that makes the surface NOT sticky. Give your roller a gentle massage under running water and it will restore to new condition. I am so happy with the roller now, I am going to order more so I don't have to wait between drying times! UPDATE - almost 5 months later and every day use, the sticky rollers continue to perform great. To improve the restoring of the surface after each use I just put a drop of either dish soap or liquid hand soap on the roller and gently rub the surface before rinsing. It only takes about 5-6 seconds of rubbing the roller to loosen all the cat hair and then the roller rinses clean very easily. Still LOVE it!
