I have been curious about these "magic eraser" sponges and decided to give them a try. I bought this Baoer 100 pack (I will refer to it as generic), along with an 8-pack of the original national brand, and a 40-pack which I will refer to it as a private label. I have been using all of them for about a week around the house and am very happy about how they are working out. I see clearly why they are being called "erasers" when I use them to rub against the greasy buildups around the exhaust hood cover. I use them to wipe off the counter tops, the stainless steel oven doors, fridge doors, stairway banisters, door frames, bathroom walls. Once I accidentally rubbed the sponge against a rusty pipe and was surprised what it took off. No, the pipe did not return to its shinny state, but did made me want to run a broken sponge around hidden areas one last time before throwing them away. I tried using these to clean up the coffee stain buildups inside the coffee cup. It didn't work for me. But that's OK. I can still reach for the baking soda (and other cleaning tools for that matter). Likewise, among the 3 different brands of the magic erasers, I do not have to limit myself to use only one. You do get what you pay for, but to some extent prices do matter. The thicker (and more expensive) ones are great for the tougher jobs, but there are plenty jobs can be done easily with the thinner ones. The prices that I paid for each are shown in the pictures.
