I read many reviews about customers buying this product and it not working. Some buyers destroyed electrical or electronic devices using this converter. Its important to understand that this product only does a physical conversion from a USA style plug to UK style plug. It does not do any electrical conversion. (You need to buy a transformer for an electrical conversion) So what does this mean ? If your device is not marked 120/240 or 110/220 do not use it. UK uses 220v, if you plug in a hair dryer marked 120v your hair dryer will get very hot and eventually burn out. It may even catch on fire. My wife was travelling to the UK and we purchased this converter for her laptop. Her laptop power supply is clearly marked 120v/240v. Her cell phone charger is also marked 110/220 so we were able to use it to charge her cell phone as well.
