I was honestly scared of this thing. I ordered pink to help my mental state. Pink is less intimidating, right? I'm glad I did, looks less like a cheese grater. It is a microplane, so one could make that mistake. I'd describe my feet as mildly gross. I've seen bad. I've seen horrifying. Mine look worse in the picture I attached than they do in real life. I think. I've only ever used files that are sandpapery, like a nail file, and they really do nothing. And a pedicure at my local salons? They just rub a rock on your heels and call it a day. My best friend who has a foot phobia is freaked out by my feet and wouldn't shut up so I bought this. I got it today along with Keefes foot cream (I think?) and stared at it for an hour. It's really scary, huge, and sharp. After stalling I grabbed a paper towel and sat on my bathroom floor. DO THIS ON DRY FEET! If you soak your feet I can only imagine the damage this sharp motherlicker would do. Please, do this over a towel, you will not believe the foot dust. I'm posting a picture of it just to be gross. I gently began and it made a horrible sound like metal on rocks. The slower you go the more you can feel each spike catching on your dead skin so don't torture yourself. Be very careful, do a little at a time and keep checking to make sure you aren't going over tender skin. I do wish I had a smaller one for my big toe but I made it work. I worked slowly and carefully and I was pretty impressed with the results. My feet were dusty and there was dust stuck in the old cracks in my heels, but it was all living skin on my feet! Suck it, Courtney! I applied the cream right after and took the final result pictures. My feet feel tender but not in pain right now and I was ever so careful, so please heed my advice. It's a sharp tool, not a crappy dollar store pumice stone. If you can't seem to get smooth feet, buy this.
