Was surprised to find my salad greens germinate in 3 days instead of the 7-14 on the packet! This heats up roughly 10 degrees above ambient temperature, but it's enough to give you a boost. Even in the summer it hasn't gotten too hot indoors with it. I use this for getting seeds to germinate faster, and to help keep a container with sourdough warm to help it rise quicker. It's pretty flexible, and you can wrap it around things as well. Works very well for everything I've used it for, and no real complaints (except would be nice to find one that you can set the temperature exactly, but I just use a heated blanket and a thermostat for that)
