Solid bike, quiet and very smooth (mostly). Great for Peloton app!
I purchased this bike a few weeks ago and have been using it regularly with the Peloton app (along with the Wahoo cadence sensor). I'm new to spin bikes so I have no basis of comparison, but I've been very satisfied with this bike and my wife says its much better than the manual resistance spin bikes she uses at the health club. I'm 6'1" and the bike easily accommodates me, my wife and even my younger daughter (5'0"). The bike is very sturdy and 95% smooth. There is a slight vibration/hum in the bike at higher cadences but it doesn't really bother me. This slight vibration is the only criticism I have and I'd give the bike 4.5 stars if I could. The tablet holder makes a great stand for my 12.9" iPad Pro which is used for the Peloton app (the iPad is in a folio stand case and secured to the bike using a bungee cord). The Wahoo sensor/app have worked perfectly so far for measuring cadence. I also have an Apple Watch to track heart rate/calories. There is no way to calibrate resistance compared to a Peloton bike, but the resistance knob can be turned almost 8 full revolutions, so I've just been assuming each full turn is 10-12 in resistance and I go by that (on my bike, when the negative sign on the knob is at 12 o'clock I consider that to be 0/10/20/30/40/50 etc. and at 6 o'clock to be 5/15/25/35 etc.). I think this tends to result in setting a higher resistance on the Sunny, but that just makes for a better workout. All in all, a great value for anyone looking for the Peloton experience without spending thousands of dollars and getting locked in. I'm also glad I spent the extra $ for the magnetic resistance.
