Works as advertised, supports full 4K (3840x2160) @ 60Hz with my GTX 1080Ti
We're in a transitional period for connecting high-end displays to computers and other hardware. HDMI is pushing the limits, and no solid standard to replace HDMI has emerged. Displayport is widely available on high-end graphics cards, but not well supported in 4K televisions. We, the poor consumers, have been left scrambling for solutions to get this all hooked up. Honestly, it's all a bit of a mess. There are lots and lots of cables and connectors that claims 4K/60Hz compatibility. Not all of them work. I've tried several brands, and had to send them back when they didn't support full 4K/60Hz. Which is why I'm so thrilled for this cable. In conjunction with an active DP/HDMI 2.0 connector, it works as advertised, no fuss. I'm running it in a triple-4K monitor setup connecting 3 Sony 43" XBR X800D televisions with my GTX 1080ti video card. For various technical reasons (supporting 18 Gbs/s over thin wires), cabling longer than 10' is especially problematic. ThisHDMI 2.0 15' cable works flawlessly. The need for larger conductors makes this cable bulky and stiff, but thats a necessary requirement for a longer cable supporting 4K/60Hz. My triple 4K setup is running beautifully! This is the cable to buy. Inexpensive, works flawlessly with my GTX 1080Ti and 4K sony TVs, and integrates with DP/HDMI 2.0 dongles just fine. Thanks!
