This is a very good inexpensive camera. I picked it up for doing structural inspections, and it has enough resolution to provide the information I need. If I was doing a very in depth inspection for moisture infiltration, rot, or termites, I would probably rent a more expensive camera. However, we use this camera with our regular structural inspections as a quick check for unseen items that could present problems. In fact, this camera has the resolution of a camera I rented in 2006 for a few hundred dollars. The camera is easy to use, and it provides a digital image in the background making it easier to read where the photos were taken. It doesn't have a SIM card, but it plugs in the computer easily with a USB cord, and it's easy to download the images. You can recharge it through the USB port, so we recharge it in the car. I read all of the negative reviews before I bought this, and I am confused. Apparently there is the expectation that this will function like an infrared camera that costs thousands of dollars. Look, don't buy a Hyundai and expect a Porsche.
