Excellent and very affordable
I have been juicing for 8 years now moving between a $300 Breville centrifugal juicer and an older $350 Omega masticating juicer. When I am in a hurry I use the centrifugal juicer, but the pulp is wet and I am losing juice (and money) with it. The masticating juicer is way more efficient at getting juices out, but the feed tube is really narrow and it takes me 3 times longer juice (compared to a centrifugal juicer). I was researching vertical masticating juicers with wide feed tubes and found this AmazonBasics juicer. It ticked off all the right boxes on my checklist with a wide feed tube, slow juicing, a powerful 200-watt motor, and it was extremely inexpensive at around $90. Similar juicers seem to cost around $400-500. So I took a chance and bought it. I figured I could return it in 30 days if it was a dud. I have been steadily juicing with it for a few days now and it is a winner. In total, I've done over 4 gallons of juice, as well as oat milk and almond milk. It is a sturdily-built machine that fits together well. The pulp comes out dry. The feed tube is wide, so I don't have to spend as much time cutting down the size of fruit and vegetables, and it is relatively easy to clean. The 200-watt motor is very strong and holds up well to hard fruits and vegetables. It juices way faster than my old masticating juicer but not as fast as my centrifugal juicer. I getting more juice because it effectively squeezes the pulp dry. I have decided to get rid of both of my old juicers and will be using this one from now on. I will update this review if anything changes, but for now I am very happy with this juicer.
