LONG POST but here is the skinny on the Quantum X Vacuum. I watched ALOT of reviews of ALOT of different vacuums. My last one wouldn’t even pick up small rocks. I have laminate flooring throughout my house. After heavy debating we chose the Quantum X Vacuum. We bought it direct from them. I just got it in today. Since my last Vacuum broke I have been sweeping every other day. I at least thought I was sweeping!!! I LOVE this vacuum. As long as it continues running just like this I will always have one!! • In the reviews I noticed that everyone was complaining about the black insert in the water container getting junk stuck behind it. It says to remove it when emptying it out!!! It’s very simple to remove and put back in. Make sure to clean the black insert out when emptying the water container. • In the reviews I noticed everyone was saying how heavy it is. When I have it extended I leave it sideways. It helps out tremendously!! Otherwise it’s not that heavy to me. • In the reviews I never saw anyone talk about hair getting trapped on the power head brush. It barely has any hair on it at all after vacuuming two rooms!!! They said to use scissors or a blade to cut the hair and allow the hair to be sucked up in the vacuum every 5-7 uses. My last vacuum’s brush would be covered in hair just from one room. * In reviews they say how the power head brush does not turn and twist. It does not. I don’t seem to have a problem with it but it would help out maneuvering around a little better. * I haven’t seen any reviews about the vacuum cleaning around the baseboards. It does clean around the baseboards. It picked up everything. You might have to go along from the side or from the front of the vacuum to pick it all up but it does get everything. * I did notice the lights turn off when it stands directly up so when you are vacuuming and the lights go out it’s because it’s close to the upright holding position. * I did notice if you are vacuuming under furniture for a period of time with the extension out it does seem to try and stop working. It never actually stopped but I did just go ahead and bring it out from under the furniture. * You can use fragrances. They do sell them. Their oils have been tested and approved. They told me I can use my own but it may stain the water container. I do have the option of buying a new water container if I don’t like the stained color. They did tell me that if I choose to use my own oils it will not void the warranty. * The 30 day warranty: You have to pay the shipping back (if bought direct through them). You can choose your own carrier when sending it back. * 3 year warranty: You have to pay for the item to be sent to them to be fixed/ replaced. They will pay shipping back to you. It’s a limited warranty: doesn’t cover the belts/ brush rolls/ if commercial use/ etc. * It is slightly loud but you get used to it pretty quickly. I’m not sure someone could be sleeping while your vacuuming the next room unless they are heavy sleepers. * It does not have the capability to be an air purification system like the rainbow.
